Ninehundred Communications are pleased to announce the award of a Framework Agreement with Firebuy for the supply of hand held radios and accessories.

Who are Firebuy?

Firebuy was established in 2006 to deliver English Fire and Rescue Service procurement at a national level. It is a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) and one of its main objectives is to deliver efficiencies and improvements in fire and rescue service procurement and to provide a procurement service and contracts for the provision of fire-specific equipment to the FRS and wider public sector. 
Firebuy acts as a central procurement body working closely with the National Procurement Board, English Fire and Rescue Authorities, Regional Management Boards and the Chief Fire Officers Association as the users ‘intelligent client’

The Details…

This new hand held radio Framework Agreement is available to all UK Fire and Rescue Services, MOD and Public Sector organisations.  The agreement negates the need for costly, time consuming tenders and contract negotiations for the same products/services.
The Framework Agreement consists of 5 Lots:

Analogue Radios     Digital Radios      Submersible Radios

Base Stations          Service and Maintenance

Firebuy awarded Framework Agreements to several suppliers and the agreement with Ninehundred Communications is for the supply of Digital Radios, Submersible Radios and Base Stations.

This Pan Government Framework Agreement offers equipment to support existing radio fleets and technology but also includes digital radios to encourage more use by the Fire and Rescue Authorities and the wider Public Sector.

Ninehundred Communications have seen a marked increase in the implementation of digital radios over the last 2 years, particularly within the Public Sector. 

Utilising the latest technology in radio communications, digital radios are being invested in heavily by manufacturers and are a feature rich, flexible solution that offers many benefits to both the organisation purchasing the equipment and the end user.
