Yorkshire Wildlife Park was facing significant communication issues. Their existing analogue two-way radios lacked the coverage and durability needed to support daily operations across the ever expanding 260-acre park. A more robust and reliable solution was essential to ensure seamless coordination among staff, particularly given the park’s vast layout and dynamic environment.
What We Delivered
Ninehundred Communications recommended and implemented a Mototrbo Digital Two-Way Radio System, designed to enhance coverage and provide crystal-clear voice communication. Over 100 digital radios were deployed across the park, ensuring reliable and efficient connectivity. In addition, Ninehundred Communications also supplies the park’s mobile phone contracts!
The new digital radio system has transformed communications at Yorkshire Wildlife Park by delivering full coverage across the entire site, ensuring that staff can stay connected no matter where they are. This has significantly improved coordination and response times across various park operations.
The system also enables individual and group calling, allowing for more efficient communication between teams. Whether staff need to coordinate animal movements, manage visitor services, or respond to an incident, they can do so quickly and effectively.
Additionally, the new radios offer 40% longer battery life, reducing the need for frequent recharging and ensuring uninterrupted service throughout the day. Their waterproof and durable design makes them ideal for outdoor use, protecting them from the elements and extending their lifespan.
